Alison

Qualified Person-Centred Counsellor

Hello, and welcome. My name is Alison, and I am a qualified person-centred counsellor offering a calm and supportive space where you can be truly heard safely, just as you are. I have worked with survivors of domestic abuse, supporting them in finding safety, healing, and a stronger sense of self. I have also worked with trauma both with adults and teenagers. I bring experience from previous roles working with young adults in higher education, as they navigate the unique challenges of growing up, moving away from home, and finding their way in the world. I also foster, which along with my counselling training, has deepened my understanding of how important empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental attitude are for growth and empowerment. My approach to counselling is grounded in core values of empathy, honesty (congruence), and unconditional positive regard. That means I will meet you with genuine warmth, respect, and understanding of your world as you experience it. We will move at your pace, in a space where you are accepted fully and not alone. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or just in need of someone to talk to and walk the road with you.

Please call or email for a phone consultation to ensure I am the counsellor for you.

Carol

Qualified CBT Therapist

Warm, empathetic, and action-focused, I am dedicated to supporting you on your journey toward healing and growth.

My approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, meaning I work collaboratively with you to set meaningful goals and make practical, lasting changes. While CBT is a forward-thinking and solution-focused therapy, I also believe in the importance of understanding the past. Together, we can explore the root causes of what’s holding you back, making sense of how past experiences may be affecting your present. I bring extensive knowledge in bereavement counselling, and am also experienced in supporting clients through addiction and anxiety. I have lived experience of overcoming and healing from trauma which makes me passionate about helping others to do the same. In addition to working with adults, I have a background in working with young people— in schools, the looked after system and the youth offending team, which has deepened my understanding of the unique challenges people face at different stages of life and in difficult circumstances. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready to make a change, I offer a safe, supportive space where we can work together to help you move forward with confidence and clarity.

Katie

CBT Therapist

Hi, I'm a level 5 counsellor offering a safe, supportive space for you to explore what's going on in your life - I'm here to help you make sense of whatever it is that is making you feel stuck. I work with individuals from all walks of life and believe that therapy should be as unique as you are. My core approach is cognitive behavioural therapy, I can help you understand how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours connect. My aim is to give you the tools to be able to shift whatever it is that isn't working in your life. CBT can be especially helpful for managing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and unhelpful thinking patterns. But I know one size doesn't fit all - so I integrate other therapeutic tools and approaches to suit your individual needs. If sitting down face-to-face doesn't feel quite right, I also offer walk-and-talk therapy. Sometimes being in nature and moving your body makes it easier to open up and process emotions. Whatever brings you to counselling, my goal is to help you lighten the load and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

Feel free to get in touch - I'd be happy to talk through how we can work together.

Sessions are £60, and each session is 50 minutes. We recommend starting with a block of 6 - It gives us a chance to build trust, explore what's going on for you, and set some goals together that feel right for where you're at. Real change takes a little time, and this gives us space to make it meaningful.
